How do I cancel Xfinity?

Call Xfinity on 1-800-934-6489 or schedule a call or visit a store, because there is no online cancel. Return the equipment through xfinity.com/returns and keep the label stub as your receipt.

Mind My Money prepares the call with you and checks your statements afterwards that the charges stopped.

This is for anyone ending Xfinity internet, TV or phone service from Comcast. The cancelling is one call; the parts that cost money afterwards are the equipment and the final bill. All of it is from Xfinity's own pages as they read on 19 September 2026.

How to cancel

Xfinity's cancel page says: “If you need to cancel, call us at 1-800-934-6489, schedule a call or visit an Xfinity Store.” There is no button to cancel online. The same page first offers other things, such as pausing the service or saving on your bill, and you can say no to those.

Before you call, look up whether you are still inside a minimum term. Xfinity's agreement says that if you end service under a minimum term agreement before it finishes, “you may be charged an early termination fee”, and tells you to check your own minimum term agreement for the details. Ask for the amount on the call, before you confirm.

If you signed up recently, Xfinity has a 30-day money-back guarantee on TV, internet and voice, and 14 days on Xfinity Mobile.

Returning the equipment

  1. Go to the Digital Return Center at xfinity.com/returns. It works even after your account is disconnected.
  2. Choose an Xfinity store, which gives you a receipt, or a prepaid UPS label. Send back only the device, the remote and the power cord.
  3. If you post it, “Keep the top portion of the label with the tracking number included. This will be your receipt.”

Xfinity says to allow up to two weeks for the return to show on your account, and that rental equipment not returned can appear as charges on your final bill.

The final bill

Xfinity warns that the last bill “may have items not on prior bills, like prorates or equipment charges”, and that in some cases you are owed a refund. Read it line by line against what you expected. If you keep only Xfinity Mobile, there is a monthly fee for that on the current price plan.

A comcast.net email address keeps working after you leave only if you logged in to it in the 90 days before your disconnection date.

Where Mind My Money comes into it

Mind My Money goes through your spending on your own computer, so it sees what you pay Xfinity every month and what the final bill and any refund came to. Where you decide to cancel, it helps you prepare for the call and then checks your statements afterwards that the charges stopped and nothing was billed for equipment you returned.
